Course Schedule: Six (6) weeks: MON/WED/FRI: 6:00 PM  – 9:30 PM

Prerequisites: Own laptop and basic knowledge on how to operate it

Course Description: Introduces students to the basic knowledge and skills to build dynamic end-to-end web applications using Browser Based Technologies, Word Press, HTML5, PHP, CSS and JavaScript, applying coding and best practices to build a front-end website either from scratch or by utilizing a front end framework and a robust PHP-based websites. Students will experiment with short bits of programming languages (Code) to bring to life the power and limitations of coding. The program uses variants of the programming languages in coding exercises and will not teach a whole language, code will be explored trough specific exercises providing substantial groundwork to build code without the need to write complete computer programs.

Introduction to JavaScript, Interactive HTML, multimedia and JavaScript, Objects, properties and methods, Introduction to PHP, Building and Using MySQL Databases, interacting with the Database, Working with Multiple Page Web Sites

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

SEO Integration for Website Development shows you how to integrate Search Engine Optimization to build websites that are found on Google Search. The best time to optimize your website and integrate SEO is when you are first building it. You’ll learn real strategies that help get your website to the top of Google. 

Week 6

Website Project Presentation and Critique
